If you have an MC35 with WM5 and upgrade to WM6 the SDiD will stop working. This is also the case if you buy a new MC35 and it already has WM6 installed. According to fizzq (see his post here) you need to make sure that the SDIO driver is selected instead of the SDMMC driver. This switch can be found at Start->Settings->System->SDSwitch on the device.

I tested the SDiD 1010, 1020, 1210 and 1212 and all worked perfectly with SDiD Driver v3.0 and SDiD Driver v4.0.

Additional information that might save time. We noticed on our MC35 updated to WM6 that -

- on WM5, the SD switch setting is set by default to 'SDIO Mode'.
- on WM6, it's the other option 'SDMMC' Mode that is set by default.

It's good to know this tricky change in case of a full reset that turns the settings back to default.

Thank you guys for the quality of your support.

Not sure what the root cause is yet but there seems to be some situations where software installations somehow affect the SD switch which in turn can stop the SDiD from functioning. To work around this perform the following:

1. Go to Start -> Settings -> System -> SDSwitch
2. Change the SDSwitch SD Driver mode to SDMMC Mode
3. Soft reset the PDA
4. Go to Start -> Settings -> System -> SDSwitch
5. Change the SDSwitch SD Driver mode to SDIO Mode
6. Soft reset the PDA
