What would be the distance reading for an implanted transponder ISO 11784/5 for pets with the 121x SDID?

There is no exact answer to this question. Reading distance depends of a number of things such as tag configuration, antenna size, orientation etc. Implanting tags in animals will definitely reduce reading distance but by how much depends on animal fat, skin type, hair and depth of implantation. Animal tags are typically very small and inherently have poor range.

Brian I am aware of your parameters:
The tag configuration for an implantable transponder for pets is known and is about 13mm long for a dia. of 1.5mm-2mm.
The antenna size, well... you must know it since it is the SDID antenna.
On low frequency the animal fat will not influence very much the reading distance.
Neither skin or hair.
The reading distance is anyways always given in the air and on the best orientation according to the antenna design. Then of course the in the real life it is different, but having a quick idea of the reading distance may help to understand the possible application for the product. If the reading range is poor what would it be in numbers?

By antenna size I was referring to the tag antenna size.

With the implantable tags we have here the best range we are able to achieve is around 1-2cm. Range varies from tag to tag also.
